2. Nature and purpose of personal data processing

The information you have provided will be collected and stored in the databases of Messe Karlsruhe and of UITP (Union Internationale des Transports Publics).

Please note that MESSE KARLSRUHE only uses your data (including your company information) for the purpose of running IT-TRANS events you have registered and in order to send (including by e-mail) information, including about related Messe Karlsruhe events and services.

Please note that UITP only uses your data (including your company information) for the purpose of running IT-TRANS events you have registered and in order to send (including by e-mail) information, including about related UITP events and services.

The collected data will be deleted once they have served their purpose, unless MESSE KARLSRUHE is required to retain or document them further in accordance with Article 6(1) lit c of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or unless you have given your consent for them to be stored for longer in accordance with Article 6(1) page 1 lit. a of the GDPR.

3. Passing on data to third parties

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed above or to fulfil your order.

For the processing of your data, in some cases we use contract processors who are contractually obliged to process your data only to the extent specified above.

4. Rights of persons affected

You have the right:

To revoke, in accordance with Art. 7(3) of the GDPR, the consent that you previously provided to us, at any time. This means that we will not be permitted to continue processing the data based on this consent in future. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to ds-abmelder@messe-karlsruhe.de. In doing so, you will not incur any costs beyond the basic cost of transmission;

To request, in accordance with Art. 15 of the GDPR, information on the personal data of yours being processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data are or have been disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to correct, delete, object to or limit processing of your data, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data (insofar as these were not received from you), about the existence of an automated decision-making process (including profiling) and any significant information regarding these;

To request, in accordance with Art. 16 of the GDPR, that any incorrect or incomplete personal data of yours that are stored with us be corrected without delay;

To request, in accordance with Art. 17 of the GDPR, that personal data of yours that are stored with us be deleted insofar as the processing of said data is not required for exercising the right to free expression of opinion and information, for fulfilling a legal requirement, on the grounds of public interest or for the purposes of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims;

To request, in accordance with Art. 18 of the GDPR, that the processing of your personal data be limited insofar as you dispute the correctness of the data or the processing of said data is unlawful, but you do not wish for the data to be deleted and they are no longer required by us but are needed by you for the purposes of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or you have objected to the processing of said data in accordance with Art. 21 of the GDPR;

To request, in accordance with Art. 20 of the GDPR, that the personal data that you provided to us be made available to you or another authorised party in a structured, standard and machine-readable format;

To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 of the GDPR.

5. Right of objection

Insofar as your personal data are processed based on legitimate interests as defined under Article 6(1) page 1 lit. f of the GDPR, you have the right – in accordance with Art. 21 of the GDPR – to object to your personal data being processed, provided that there are grounds for this pertaining to your special circumstances.
