Fifth E-Market Update 11 August 2020

UITP and Messe Karlsruhe organise regular E-Market Updates with leading industry players. The public transport industry is striving to recover from the impact of COVID-19 on services and passenger numbers. All transport agencies are implementing different strategies to bring back lost passenger numbers while ensuring safe travel for passengers. Public transport operators are planning various marketing campaigns to rebuild passenger confidence. Organizations are also testing a variety of tools using AI, Big Data and complex algorithms to deliver customer experiences and services, including loyalty programs, customer service robots and chat bots, real-time passenger information and seamless payment options. Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) describes the new approach in the transport sector: the public transport of the future is designed to be customer-friendly, safe and efficient. The focus is on the customer and his desire to reach his destination quickly and as directly as possible. The fifth E-Market Update presents solutions developed by the industry to demonstrate excellent service and customer experience
